Viwella Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 3, 2026
Last Reviewed: March 29, 2026

Introduction

We understand the growing concerns around data privacy in today's interconnected world. Viwella is designed with a privacy-first approach: you remain in control of your data at all times. Viwella primarily operates on your device. However, if you choose to enable synchronization features, certain data is securely transmitted and stored to provide cross-device functionality. We aim to collect and process only the minimum data necessary to deliver this functionality.

Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection and Usage

By default, Viwella does not collect, store, or process any personal or usage data.

If you enable synchronization features, the application may store and process the following data:
- Application data (such as followed channels, playlists, bookmarks, and watch history)
- Timestamps and metadata required for synchronization.

This data is used solely to:
- Synchronize your content across your devices
- Restore your data when using a new device

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as your name, email address (unless required for authentication), or contact details.

2. Authentication

To enable synchronization, Viwella may use third-party authentication services (Amazon Cognito) to identify your account.

Authentication providers may process limited account-related information according to their own privacy policies. Viwella does not have access to your passwords or full authentication credentials.

3. Data Storage and Security

When synchronization is enabled:
- Your data is securely transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- Data is stored in cloud infrastructure.

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

Your data is only processed:
- By Viwella services for synchronization purposes
- By infrastructure providers strictly as required to operate the service

5. Third-Party Services

Viwella may interact with third-party services (such as YouTube or authentication providers). These services operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

6. Your Control and Choices

You can:
- Use Viwella entirely without enabling synchronization
- Disable synchronization at any time
- Remove your data by clearing the app or discontinuing use of the sync feature

7. Data Retention

If synchronization is enabled, your data is stored only as long as necessary to provide the service. We may periodically remove inactive or unused data.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be made available within the application or on our website.
